Group Chief Accountant

Since July 2021 the ordinary shares of Baltic Classifieds Group (BCG, ) are traded on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). In September 2021 it was also admitted to the premium listing segment of the Official List of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

BCG has been operating since 1999 and is the leading online classifieds group in the Baltics. BCG owns and operates 12 leading vertical and generalist online classifieds portals in Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. The Group’s online classifieds portfolio comprises eight vertical online classifieds portals, including vertical portals for automotive, real estate and jobs and services, and four generalist portals, offering a wide range of products. The Group believes that in the online classified’s world, the number one in any market is in a tremendously strong position that is very difficult to surpass and has accordingly, through a combination of focused operations and selective acquisitions developed number one positions in all of its major portals.

The group is constantly growing. Currently we are looking for a Chief Accountant - a group accounting leader with a passion for accounting and special attention to details.

The role:

• Leads preparation and renewal of the Group’s internal policies and procedures, supervises Group’s adherence to it.
  
• Supports and supervises operating companies (in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) accounting practices and helps with insightful recommendations,
  
• Proactively performs preventive quality controls and initiates corrective actions when necessary;
  
• Performs London Stock Exchange listed parent company’s (Baltic Classifieds Group PLC is a United Kingdom-based holding company) accounting in accordance with FRS 102,
  
• Performs Lithuanian parent company's accounting in accordance with Business Accounting Standards (BAS),
  
• Prepares and submits tax declarations (both to HMRC and Lithuanian Tax Authorities);
  
• Produces standalone accounting reports and monthly/quarterly/yearly statistics,
  
• Helps proactively in Group’s Annual Reported Accounts preparation in accordance with IFRS,
  
• Reports to group CFO and assists in preparing information required for the review and reporting purposes.
