The Cloud Operations department at Revel is responsible for the management and maintenance of the company’s cloud-based infrastructure. The department’s main focus is on ensuring the availability, reliability, and scalability of Revel’s cloud-based applications and services. The Cloud Operations team works closely with other teams in the organization, such as software development and quality assurance, to deploy new applications, perform upgrades, and monitor performance. The team is also responsible for identifying and addressing issues that may impact system availability or performance, as well as ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements. Successful candidates for positions within the Cloud Operations department should have strong technical skills and experience with cloud-based infrastructure and platforms, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Your Responsibilities

As a cloud operations engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Implement AWS infrastructure and services within a managed service environment with a focus on availability, scalability, and performance
  • Work with other engineering, security and support teams to find best of class solutions and new technologies for running, managing and monitoring
  • Manage and improve Revel Systems Point of Sale Production and Non-Production environments and services
  • Continual re-evaluation of existing stack and infrastructure to maintain optimal performance
  • Ensuring high availability of cloud platforms
  • Participate in on-call rotation

We expect that you have:

  • 2+ years work experience as an individual contributing DevOps, SRE, FullStack, or Software Development Engineering team member
  • Experience with AWS Managed Services (EC2, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda)
  • Experience with AWS Networking & Security Groups and their underlying technologies (Route53, VPC, ALB, Security Groups)
  • Experience in Linux environments (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux)
  • Experience with containers (Docker)
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloudformation, CDK)
  • Ability to read/write in one of the following scripting/programming languages: (Bash, Go, JS, Python) and a willingness to learn more
  • Knowledge of configuration management and automation tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, SaltStack)
  • Knowledge of container management platforms (Kubernetes, ECS) would be an advantage

Salary

Salary starts from 4000€ (gross). The final offer will depend on the level of your skills and experience.
