Head of Logistics Department

WHAT WILL YOUR JOB BE:

  • Organize and ensure the smooth running of the Logistics Department's daily processes and prompt problem solving.
  • Manage the team's workload, motivation, development and goal achievement.
  • Negotiate contracts with external service providers and coordinate their work.
  • Plan and organize local and international transportation: scheduling, loading, delivery and tracking.
  • Analyze market trends, transport flows and shipment progress in order to optimize processes.
  • Collect and systematize data on transport services, pricing and opportunities.
  • Ensure that payments for transport services are made on time.
  • Identify and resolve delivery problems and develop preventive solutions.
  • Establish and maintain business partnerships, gather information about cooperation opportunities and share knowledge.
  • Prepare, review and register transport contracts and orders.
  • Perform additional tasks according to the instructions of the direct manager.

WHAT IS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL (-A):

  • Excellent knowledge of logistics operations, including domestic and international transportation.
  • Experience in leading teams and logistics projects.
  • Very good Lithuanian and English language skills (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge of legal acts regulating logistics and transport activities.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Organizational and communication skills, team orientation.
