About the job:
Currently we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D team in Kaunas and be responsible for developing automotive sensors and improving the existing ones while working in project teams to deliver high-quality products to the automotive market. In this role you will:
- Act as Mechanical Design Engineer on cross-functional development teams
- Consider customer requirements, quality & reliability targets, cost optimization, and design for manufacturability in all new product designs
- Create and maintain 3D CAD files, detailed engineering drawings, and materials specifications
- Utilize tolerance stack-up analysis and GD&T standards to analyze and refine designs.
- Develop bills of materials, special product & process characteristics, DFMEA’s, test & inspection criteria, and other engineering documentation as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers during prototype, pre-launch and early product launch activities
- Plan and coordinate product/equipment development actions
About you:
- At least 2 years of experience in product or technology development in cross-functional project teams
- CAD modeling experience
- Knowledge of mechanical parts manufacturing process
- Working experience with technical calculation methods
- Fluency in English (speaking and reading/writing)
- Strong team player with “Can do” attitude
- Good coordination and planning skills
- Siemens NX experience would be beneficial
