Roaming Support Engineer

Right now, we are looking for a Roaming Support Engineer for the International Voice and Roaming Area. I am Maria Jansson Rådström, the leader of our team of Telia Carrier Voice and Roaming in Sweden.

Your next challenge?

As a member of my team you will have the responsibility for trouble shooting, operations and configuration of our roaming services. Preparing and establishing connections for new roaming partners will also be part of and a key role in your daily work. You will also implement network elements for the roaming services. You will also have a direct contact with our external customers, internal development engineers, project managers and managers to ensure a fast and high quality Service Assurance process.
We work in a constantly changing environment with new technologies and challenges. We do have an important role being the bridge between Development and Operations using a DevOps mindset in our daily work.

It is a job that calls for someone who understand technology, processes and people. You will also be coaching and act as an internal consultant for colleagues within other parts of our organisation. The position will also include on call duty outside office hours.

  • Excellent skills within the Roaming area
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Linux knowledge
  • Skills in Voice and Packet data (2/3/4G protocols GTP, diameter, SS7, SIP)
  • Knowledge of core elements (SGW, PGW, MME, SGSN, GGSN, PCRF, HLR/HSS, MSS; MGW, UDC)
