I am Patience Allen and I am leading the Entities & Privacy team in Telia’s CPS CRM & Partner Functions IT Department. We are a great bunch of people, and I am super proud of every member of each of our teams.

Right now, we are looking for a Scrum Master - Entities to strengthen our IT team. We need you!

We are on a journey of digital transformation where we focus on continuous development of our solid digital solutions in both business and private markets. Now is the chance for you to join our team in this exciting journey!

The Entities team is responsible for building the core functionality to help transform Telia from a subscription centric business to one that will truly understand the users and all the ways they interact with Telia. This area will eventually integrate with and support all brands in all 6 Telia countries. We have started the journey in Norway and will be branching out to the other countries soon so it’s time to build the core team!

As Scrum Master you will be part of this new cross-country IT service. Close collaboration with different teams within the company is an important part of this role. This includes other development teams as well as architects and several different commercial teams.

We have defined the target Enterprise level architecture and mapped the initial commercial needs but have so much more to think through and manage. This role will be critical in that process.

As a Scrum Master you will:

  • Exhibit the behaviours of a Lean-Agile leader with a Lean-Agile mindset
  • Facilitate the team's progression and create the metrics that matter
  • Inspire the teams to have relentless improvements and eliminate impediments for them
  • Support teams estimating and planning, as well cadence and deployment and development cycles
  • Coordinate across teams with Scum Master peers (including several SAFe ARTs)
  • Help the teams collaborate internally as well as towards other teams
  • Help define, train on and coordinate SAFe ways of working (WoW) and onboarding to WoW for all new team members.

Who are you?
Since you are going to be working closely together with many different people you need to have good communication skills and be a true team player. You are driven, solution oriented, take ownership for getting things done and are not afraid to initiate new solutions or initiatives that can benefit our area and help us reach our goals. You also like to keep your eyes on the details, maintain a good structure and succeed in following up in a diverse variety of people and tasks. You possess a curious mind and willingness to step outside your comfort zone and are eager to learn new things. English is our common language; therefore, it is important that your English is fluent both spoken and written. Do you speak Scandinavian as well? Great!

To perform well as a Scum Master, we believe that you have:

  • Good understanding of business, processes and how you relate to people
  • Experience from IT development
  • Passion for and both theoretical and practical experience with flexible work and principles such as Kanban, Scrum and DevOps
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality software, preferably in a top technology firm
  • You have an understanding of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and if possible ITIL.
  • You understand the advantages of high-performance teams

Your experience:

  • An academic degree preferably in computer science or other relevant area.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or similar roles.
  • Experience from working with agile methods, especially useful would be SAFe 5.0 or ITIL 4.0

Additional useful skills:

  • Knowledge of GDPR and it's impacts on technology (experience with GDPR solutions)
  • Understanding of how Cloud based solutions function (AWS preferred)
