We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health and stability of our organization.
You should find interesting to:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Process expense reports and assist with financial tracking of local sub-contractors and fixed price contracts as needed.
- Handle vendors’ and suppliers’ accounts including invoices, general ledger maintenance, journal entries and account reconciliation.
- Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Prepare tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports for direct and indirect tax filings.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Skills to succeed in this position:
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Knowledge of legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania regulating accounting, taxes, companies' activities.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong 2+ years of professional experience in the field of accounting.
- Detail orientation and thoroughness.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
