Job description
Job functions that the employee will perform:
- prepare and conduct educational sessions;
- prepare descriptions of educational classes and materials for their conduct;
- take care of the purchase of tools for educational classes and events and maintain them;
- create and maintain relations with schools, pre-school education, non-formal education and other institutions;
- help prepare, organize and implement the educational and cultural events of the Botanical Garden;
- advise and serve visitors in the field of their competence;
- to carry out other tasks related to the operational functions of the VMU Botanical Garden.
Employee requirements
- No lower than secondary education;
- Have similar work experience;
- To know the official Lithuanian language and English, not lower than B2 level;
- Have acquired knowledge of natural sciences or be motivated to acquire such knowledge;
- Have acquired knowledge about plant identification, systematics: nomenclature, herbalization of plants and systematized creation of plant collections;
- Necessary planning, managerial, organizational and communication skills, innovative solutions and creativity.
- Know how to work with the Microsoft Office software package and be able to use information systems;
- Know how to independently plan, delegate and organize work;
- To be able to provide services to persons from socially sensitive groups;
