ABOUT THE COMPANY:

E energija group initiates, develops, finances, and builds green-field renewable, energy solutions and district heating projects in Lithuania and Poland. The organisation is dedicated to fostering innovation in the green energy field and is currently developing energy storage solutions. To support this initiative, they are looking for a Head of Software Development to join their industrial size Battery Energy Storage System team.

THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define the technical architecture, appropriate software stack, frameworks, and standards to ensure consistency, ensure software integration, address performance, and maintainability across all software projects, address security and data management needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans, ensure the requirements are met throughout the development cycles.
  • Conduct code reviews, architectural reviews, and performance analyses to ensure adherence to established standards and best practices, identify technical risks and their potential solutions.
  • Build and lead a team of your own, provide guidance and mentorship, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships and work status with external development partners, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Manage the available internal and external resources so that project timelines are met
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in software architecture and development, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate fostering continous improvement of the team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in software architecture, requirements breakdown, design, and development, with a track record of delivering complex, scalable software solutions.
  • Hands on software development experience.
  • Experience working with embedded systems, PLC, SCADA, OPC Servers, Java, cloud data storage and analysis solutions or building advanced software that remotely controls hardware would be a big plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.

Salary

6100-7500 €/mon. gross
