Project Support
  • Support the Operations Manager of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in ensuring that the assigned projects in the Baltics are being implemented in line with signed project documents, budgets, operational plans and monitoring plans.
  • Support regular project review meetings with the respective National Society partners to monitor progress of project activities and financial implementation.
  • Coordinate with national society partners regarding the production of all reports pertaining to the IFRC supported projects.
  • Undertake occasional support and monitoring visits to project sites and participate in project events when required.
  • Support the documentation of best practices and lesson learnt.
  • Support the national society partners in establishing an effective information management system for the response, including statistics.
  • Support the development of new projects and interventions.
Administrative, Financial, Procurement and Logistical Support
  • Along with the IFRC Operations Manager, monitor project’s financial implementation in coordination with IFRC Finance Coordinator.
  • Follow up on issues raised by National Society partners and IFRC related to project expenditures.
  • Regularly liaise with partners to ensure timely financial reporting and forecasting is provided to IFRC and that financial reports are completed as per IFRC requirements.
  • Coordinate with partners and IFRC Logistics regarding necessary logistics and procurement activities and processes needed for the effective implementation of projects.
  • Support in the preparation and execution of meetings/workshops for the IFRC supported projects with National Society partners, including administrative and logistics support.
  • Ensure the completion and archiving of project documentation.

We need you, if you

  • Have university degree or equivalent, preferably in the field of social sciences.
  • Have experience with project cycle management and project management tools, such as logical frameworks, operational/project plans, indicator tracking, monitoring plans.
  • Have demonstrable experience of project financial management and reporting.
  • Have good and diplomatic verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have ability to work independently, including under pressure, in an accountable and responsible manner.
  • Show full responsibility for tasks assigned, is results oriented, takes initiative, presenting a motivated and persevering personality with a good spirit of cooperation and team work.
  • Are fluent in English.
