About the role
Aurora Tech is a leader in the crypto gaming space. Launched in 2018, our flagship platform, EarnBet, was the most successful decentralized application launch of all time. We are searching for talented software developers to join our remote team and help us take our company to new heights.
We are seeking a Lead TypeScript Engineer who loves writing code that is clean, well-organized, and easy to understand. You should be very passionate about software development best practices and design patterns. You should also be at ease working in an agile, location-independent environment with little supervision.
This is not a “cookie-cutter” job post. We have taken the time to customize it specifically for our needs, so we expect all applicants to pay close attention to all of the details in this post.
This is not an entry level position for Junior developers. The screening process will be extremely technical. You must demonstrate that you have at least 5 years of development work experience and you should be comfortable with leading or managing a team of developers.
You will be responsible for designing and architecting full stack web applications using TypeScript on the backend and front end. We are strongly passionate about TypeScript, so we expect you to be as well! Our frameworks of choice are nest.js for backend and Angular for front end.

Have you experienced what it truly means to have Clean Code and how it affects the productivity of your team? Do you take pride in maintaining a clean codebase? Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, other developers, and platform users to achieve elegant solutions
- Take a test-first approach to software and design modular code that is easily testable
- Perform code reviews and provide recommendations for improving code quality
- Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms
Qualifications and Requirements
- 5 years or more experience developing full stack applications with TypeScript
- 5 years or more experience architecting and developing Node.js backends
- Experience using Nest.js framework is an asset
- 3 years or more experience managing or leading a team of developers
- 5 years or more experience implementing object-oriented design patterns
- 5 years or more experience working with relational database design using MySQL
- 5 years or more experience implementing Angular frontends
- Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
- Strong DevOps focus and experience building and deploying infrastructure
- Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
