In this position you will be required to ensure the safe and efficient operation of a shift (10 employees). You will build and develop your team and problem-solve to achieve shift goals, ensure smooth operations to established work standards. You will work with a shift on a two-shift schedule (Shift I: I-F from 06:00 to 14:30, Shift II: I-F from 14:30 to 23:00). You will pay a lot of attention to continuous improvement of processes, safety and quality of work. We hope that you will be energetic and want to fully immerse yourself in the production process, spend most of your working time in production, and if necessary, temporarily replace any team member. You also have user-level technical knowledge that will be useful in collaboration with the facilities maintenance department.
Main Responsibilities:
- Execution of the production plan and achievement of set goals: quantity, product quality, efficiency.
- Continuous improvement of all areas.
- Creating a safe work environment by encouraging good behavior, training and providing feedback to team members.
- Using the "go and see" principle to improve the process.
- Problem solving together with team members.
- Human resource planning together with the production manager (auditions, vacation plans, etc.).
- Introducing new team members to the work process, training and taking care of their development.
- Managerial tasks such as annual appraisal interviews, work safety meetings, filling out time sheets, etc.
- Active improvement of your leadership and teamwork (for example, working with the results of employee opinion polls).
Requirements:
- No lower than higher education (in the field of wood - a big advantage).
- Knowledge of the production process (considered a big advantage in the field of woodworking).
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methods, "go and see" principles and problem solving methods.
- Team management, training and communication skills.
- Technical knowledge.
- Good knowledge of Lithuanian and English.
- IT skills.
