About:
Cognizant European Payroll team is looking for an experienced person to join the team as a Payroll Expert. In this role an associate is expected to report to the Lithuanian Payroll Manager, provide detail-level payroll administration and payroll processing as part of the European Payroll team focusing on Lithuanian Region.
You can expect to:
- Consolidate payroll data from various sources
- Submit payroll data to external service providers or internal payroll system
- Review calculations & work with provider on any necessary adjustments
- Generate gross to net, & net pay reports
- Arrange net payments to associates
- Discharge any other payroll associated liabilities (taxes, social contributions, insurances, pensions)
- Comply with Audits
- Maintain relevant Country payroll knowledge
- Keep key business partners up to date with any legislation changes for the local region
- Review, code & upload invoices for approval / payment
- Build & maintain strong working relationships with KBP (ie.HR, Finance, Stock Admin, Tax, Internal audit)
- Handle questions from employees regarding payroll
- Do ad hoc duties and special projects as requested by management
We expect You to:
- Have relevant experience in a similar position / industry (ideally 5 years)
- Have knowledge of local Social Security, taxes and employment legislation
- Have excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills (Power Point and Access skills would be a plus)
- Have good command of English and Lithuanian both written and verbal
- Having HR experience and knowledge of Vikarina, People Soft or other ERP systems would be considered as an advantage
- Have an ability to work under pressure and to meet constant deadlines
- Have good communication skills and be a team player
- Have good organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail and accuracy
- Have a proactive approach to work to constantly improve internal processes
- Have a “can do” attitude and be energetic, self-starter, initiative and service oriented personality
