"Biržų duona" is one of the oldest and largest bread bakeries in the Lithuanian capital.
Although it was founded in 1953, we associate the revival of the company with 2001, when it was privatized by the Kurganov family, which until now has been wholeheartedly involved in the life of "Biržai duonas".
We are famous for rye sourdough bread, the production process of which often takes more than 3 days. Creativity has followed "Biržų duona" from the very beginning, so the assortment includes a rich palette of traditional Lithuanian baked goods, handmade desserts, delicacies inspired by foreign traditions.
We also bake products suitable for Gluten Free and KETO diets.
"Biržai duona" loves and protects its environment. The bakery uses clean, locally produced solar energy. It is also equipped with modern thermal energy saving technology, with the help of which the energy released during the cooking process is collected and reused. The special leaven created by our technologists allows us to use non-marketable breads for the production of other breads and thus give them a second life.
