The Role
Home Group is looking for an assistant to our senior production planner.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the calculated production capacity is realized, despite challenges coming out of absenteeism;
- Ensure that production plan is ready at least two weeks before the start of production of the sofa and that we ensure a smooth planning of the production process according to orders;
- Prepare plan for all component production, including carpentry, foam, cushions, fabric cutting and cover sewing supported by ERP program;
- Check all potential bottlenecks and address them by rescheduling production;
- Determine what components to produce in advance and to what level of stock, in particular carpentry components;
- Ensure production planning of table production and sewing by minutes;
- Evaluate sufficiency of raw materials and components;
- Smooth cooperation and communication with Purchasing and production departments due to plan fulfilment;
- Production process control;
- Ensure that produced stock is used for current production plan fulfilment;
- Analyse data, give insights in how production process could be improved to get better efficiency;
- Make daily, weekly, monthly reports;
- Other tasks assigned by the direct manager.
Requirements
- Engineering / mathematical education. At least 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing company;
- High sense of responsibility, Team player;
- Mathematical and analytical thinking, result oriented. Ability to systematize and analyze information;
- Fast production problem solving. Orientation towards continuous improvement of activities and improvement of results;
- Good Excel skills;
- Prior knowledge of ERP programs would be beneficial;
- Written and spoken English;
- Initiative, diligence and responsibility.
