Role & responsibilities
PLAY is looking for a Senior Revenue Analyst to join our Revenue Management team and take part in a wide range of projects relating to maximizing revenues.
As a Senior Revenue Analyst, you will join a team of data-driven professionals within the Revenue Management department, dedicated to maximizing revenue through strategic pricing, inventory management, and demand forecasting. Your responsibilities will include the oversight of specific routes and analyzing data to determine optimal actions for both your designated routes and the broader network at any given moment. In collaboration with our Marketing Team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our commercial strategy, ensuring our approach is both innovative and effective.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Revenue Analyst, you will join a team of data-driven professionals within the Revenue Management department, dedicated to maximizing revenue through strategic pricing, inventory management, and demand forecasting. Your responsibilities will include the oversight of specific routes and analyzing data to determine optimal actions for both your designated routes and the broader network at any given moment. In collaboration with our Marketing Team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our commercial strategy, ensuring our approach is both innovative and effective.
Responsibilities:
- Daily revenue management
- Development of automation within the existing system and implementation of new 3rd party solutions
- Oversee distribution channels (online travel agencies, direct bookings, etc.) to ensure optimal inventory allocation and pricing consistency
- Develop and implement pricing and inventory strategies to maximize revenue across various product lines or services
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and customer behavior to optimize revenue generation
- Utilize data analysis and forecasting techniques to predict demand patterns, optimize inventory, and identify revenue growth opportunities
- Identify and mitigate revenue-related risks, such as pricing, delay of in-house development, fluctuations, or demand volatility, to minimize revenue loss
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Utilize revenue management systems and tools to automate processes and enhance decision-making
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to align revenue management strategies with overall business objectives
- Support team members seeking opportunities to increase revenue
Requirements:
- University degree in business administration, engineering, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in revenue management
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
- Excellent optimization and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and a team-player mentality
- Organizational skills, independent working methods, attention to detail and solution-oriented thinking
- Imagination and initiative
- Experience in aviation is a significant advantage
- Experience in airRM is a significant advantage
- Excellent spoken and written skills in English (Icelandic is an advantage)
