Sustainability Expert

I am Aurelija Žėkienė, and I lead Sustainability Team in Telia Lietuva. Right now, I am looking for a Sustainability Expert to carry out hands-on sustainability strategy, drive impactful change throughout the organization and shape the future of sustainability at Telia by joining my team in Vilnius!

Three prioritized impact areas have been selected to maximize impact – Climate & Circularity, Digital Inclusion and Privacy & Security – supported by a strong foundation for responsible business covering other impact areas including our most material human rights topics.

As a Sustainability Expert, you will work closely with colleagues across all business units, to make sure the whole organization executes on our goals. You will be responsible for tracking progress as well as reporting on our achievements. This is the position for those who have an ability to combine strategic long-term work with day-to-day operational execution. Furthermore, you excel as an effective educator, capable of simplifying complex topics for both colleagues and stakeholders, while also demonstrating adept coordination and influential prowess.

Your purpose will be to:

• Overseeing the implementation of the sustainability strategy by placing a strong emphasis on environmental issues and achieving ambitious environmental goals
• Taking care of CO2 emissions calculation and analysis in line with our environmental goals
• Ensuring local compliance with the CSRD directive
• Preparing sustainability reports and presentations for internal and external audiences, highlighting achievements, challenges, and future plans
• Engaging and communicating with stakeholders, including employees and customers to raise awareness and drive participation in sustainability initiatives
• Staying abreast of global sustainability trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance and leadership in sustainability.

Your experience and skills:

• >3 years hands-on experience in Sustainability topics
• Experience in sustainability reporting and carbon footprint calculation
• Knowledge of Sustainability legislation and its obligations
• Experience leading complex projects/programs and delivering impactful presentations
• Solid change management skills
• Fluency in Lithuanian and English languages (written and spoken)
• A degree in environmental engineering, sustainability, or environmental sciences, or equivalent relevant training (advantage).

Working in this position you will receive a monthly base salary of 3200 – 4200Eur (gross) plus annual bonuses which are depending on your competencies and your and Telia results. Besides for each employee Telia has additional employee benefits package which includes:
