The technician-technologist is responsible for maintains customer technical service issues, advises customers about applicability of the product, improvements. Also assisting sales representatives in adapting technical solutions, providing technical support to customers and calling to prospective customers / target accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains and develop expertise in product finishes equipment use and surface preparation;
- Work with laboratories located abroad on relevant technical issues, product development;
- Attends coatings seminars and trade shows pertinent to sales/marketing;
- Assists in equipment installation and various line or equipment modifications/adjustments to ensure proper product adaptability;
- Manages product trials at designated customer facilities;
- Assists customers in preparing paint specifications to meet product applications;
- Conducts technical training seminars and application methods at customers’ facilities, advises of product line changes and improvements;
- Evaluates product complaints and decide best way to resolve problem;
- Troubleshoots on-line technical problems such as correcting batches and formulation of products;
- Communicates competitive information, new products and selling issues to Sales team;
- Trains customers on product knowledge and application methods;
- Maintains customer technical service issues on file for follow-up;
- Works with Sales Reps but also independently to preparing samples and panels for presentations;
- Communicates advanced knowledge about products in wood, technologies to team and customers;
- Positively represent and promote company, materials, solutions, service and other business benefits;
- Plans his/her work effectively with respect of time and stated targets;
- Following up continual personal progress and improvement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical Education in a related field;
- Work experience in the processing of industrial products (with wood technology experience priority );
- Good knowledge of English (to communicate with colleagues abroad);
- Sales or customer service experience (an advantage);
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to interface effectively with sales, technical and manufacturing management;
- ravel requirements 75% (visiting customers across Lithuania and sometimes in Latvia also visit laboratories in other countries).
- Good computer skills.
