Nature of work

  • successful and smooth assurance of modeling systems used by the group, development of other information systems used in processes, implementation of new tools in the field of mode planning and modeling when preparing documentation, communicating with contractors, conducting testing;
  • Support of the mathematical model of the Lithuanian electricity transmission system;
  • data analysis and visualization, preparation of material for decision-making;
  • analysis of working modes of the electricity transmission system, assessment of bandwidths;
  • work on a standard work schedule with the prospect of moving fully or partially to a rolling schedule (depending on available experience and acquired skills).

Employee requirements

  • higher education in the field of electrical engineering (can be a graduate or a master's student);
  • knowledge of legal acts regulating energy;
  • knowledge of static and dynamic processes of the electrical energy system;
  • Understanding the logic of Python (or other programming language), basics;
  • communication, organization, responsibility, attention to details, critical thinking;
  • good oral and written English skills.

Advantages:

  • experience in modeling electrical system modes using PSS/E, ODMS, NEPLAN or other similar tools;
  • interest in/knowledge of renewable energy sources, their development, influence on system operating modes, knowledge of the electricity market;
  • experience in implementing complex IT systems;
  • work experience in the field of electricity.
