ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Excise Duty Applications Coordinator to join our Excise Duty team within the Operations department. In this role, you will coordinate excise duty applications from start to finish, ensuring a smooth and accurate process while communicating with foreign tax authorities throughout the process.

GET READY TO:

  • Collect and review documents required for excise duty refund applications, making sure all information is complete and correct.
  • Prepare and submit applications to foreign tax authorities accurately and on time.
  • Track submitted applications and follow up with tax authorities until a decision or refund is received.
  • Respond to requests from tax authorities and provide additional documents or information when required.
  • Investigate delayed, rejected, or partially refunded applications and communicate with the relevant authorities to resolve them.
  • Keep up to date with changes in excise duty requirements and application procedures in different countries.
  • Maintain and organize application documents, correspondence, decisions, and refund information.
  • Check the quality of applications prepared within the team and provide feedback when corrections are needed.
  • Work closely with colleagues and other departments to resolve application-related issues.
  • Identify ways to simplify, improve, and automate the application process.
  • Support appeals, claims, debt collection, and bankruptcy-related cases when needed.
  • Assist with other projects and tasks related to excise duty operations.
  • Work closely with colleagues and other departments to resolve application and non-allocated payments-related issues.

WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

  • Experience working with operational processes.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Knowledge of other languages (French, Spanish) would be an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent IT literacy (especially Microsoft Office applications).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Responsible, reliable, and demonstrating high integrity in daily work.
