Nature of work
- Independent work within competence and teamwork with a doctor and other healthcare professionals;
- Assessment of patients' health status, identification of nursing needs and development of individual nursing plans;
- Performing nursing procedures and interventions according to doctor's orders;
- Monitoring, measuring and documenting patients' vital functions;
- Preparing, prescribing, monitoring and documenting medication use;
- Teaching patients, counseling on healthy lifestyle, disease prevention and treatment, involving family members;
- Patient care, ensuring safety and hygiene, infection control;
- Working with electronic health information systems and medical documentation;
- Coordination and supervision of the work of a nursing assistant;
- Providing emergency care, performing first aid and resuscitation actions;
- Organizing patients' nutrition, movement and daily care;
- Assisting patients in daily activities, transportation;
- Preparation and maintenance of inventory, medical equipment and workplace;
- Ensuring compliance with internal regulations and patient well-being.
Employee requirements
Special:
- Have a bachelor's degree in nursing, obtained after completing a university or non-university general nursing practice study program, or an equivalent higher education qualification;
- The right to engage in general nursing practice is granted to a person who has acquired the professional qualification of a general practice nurse in accordance with the procedure established by the Law on Nursing Practice and Midwifery Practice and holds a valid general nursing practice license to engage in general nursing practice;
- A seal issued in accordance with the procedure established by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania, unless otherwise provided for by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania;
- A valid QR code for legal work with children.
- Professional qualification of a general practice nurse and a valid license;
- Good practical nursing skills and a responsible attitude to work;
- Ability to work independently and in a team;
- Good communication and organizational skills;
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and resolve non-standard situations.
