About the company and the position:

Join a licensed European Electronic Money Institution (EMI) with a developed international payments infrastructure and take the next step in your career in finance.

Our client is an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licensed and supervised by the Bank of Lithuania, providing secure and easily scalable financial solutions in international markets.

The company is directly involved in the Mastercard, SWIFT and SEPA Instant networks and provides payment infrastructure, embedded finance and multi-currency banking services to corporate clients in Europe and other markets.

The company is currently strengthening its finance function and is looking for an accountant to join the team in Vilnius.

Main responsibilities:

  • Perform daily accounting operations: record business transactions, process financial transactions and administer the accounting system;
  • Manage invoices, payment-related documents and internal financial inquiries;
  • Monitor account balances, activity limits and liquidity positions in banking and payment channels;
  • Perform financial transaction reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of multi-currency accounting data;
  • Contribute to the closing of monthly, quarterly and annual financial periods;
  • Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements and standardized regulatory reports;
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal financial controls and established procedures;
  • Cooperate with finance, operations and compliance teams;
  • Contribute to audits and prepare necessary financial documents;
  • Improve accounting processes and increase the efficiency of financial reporting.

We hope you:

  • You have 2-3 years of practical accounting experience;
  • You have a higher education in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field;
  • You are well-versed in accounting standards and financial administration processes;
  • You work well with Microsoft Excel and confidently analyze financial data;
  • You speak English at least at an intermediate professional level;
  • You are diligent, responsible and have an eye for detail;
  • You are able to work effectively in a structured and regulated financial environment.

Experience in banking, payments, FinTech or other financial services would be an advantage.
