About us

UAB "Scandia Steel Baltic" is one of the fastest growing manufacturing companies in Kretinga, engaged in metal processing.
We are currently looking for an accountant to work in Kretinga under a fixed-term employment contract (2.5 years).

Primary responsibilities

Independent management of assigned accounting areas without constant supervision:
  • Inputting purchase invoices into Monitor ERP;
  • Accounting for fixed assets;
  • Preparation of tax reports (VAT, iSAF, others - as needed);
  • Accounting for primary documents (business trip expenses, advance accounting, etc.);
  • Reconciliation of supplier/customer balances and turnovers;
  • Processing, systematizing, preparing reports, etc. of accounting data;
  • Systematizing and controlling documents necessary for calculating wages.
  • Preparation and submission of statistical reports;
  • Participation in the company's financial audit and annual inventory of the company's assets and liabilities;
  • Other assigned tasks.

We hope

  • You have a degree in finance/accounting or a similar field;
  • You have at least 3 years of successful work experience in a similar position and are able to independently solve standard accounting situations;
  • You communicate in English (verbally and in writing);
  • You have good MS Excel skills and are not intimidated by new programs;
  • It is an advantage if you have experience with the Monitor ERP program
  • You are knowledgeable in business accounting standards and laws and regulations governing accounting and taxes;
  • You have good time planning skills, you are meticulous and responsible;
  • Tax literacy – you understand not only how to enter an invoice, but also why (nuances of VAT law, cost recognition);
  • You are independent, but also want to be part of a strong team.
