Accountant (term contract)

Are you ready to apply your accounting knowledge in an international environment? NKT Lithuania is looking for a GL Accountant to join our growing team of 17 professionals. As part of the Group Finance function, you will ensure accurate financial operations and contribute to our journey to a greener future. NKT Lithuania employs ~190 specialists in their field, spread across various finance, procurement and IT teams. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accounting services, month-end closing tasks and ensuring compliance with legal and internal standards. You will work closely with other accounting teams both in the Kaunas office and internationally. Your responsibilities would include:

• Ensuring accounting operations, including accruals and provisions, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, balance sheets and profit and loss statement reclassifications.
• Month, quarter and year-end closing tasks.
• Maintaining fixed asset accounting, including acquisitions, write-offs and depreciation.
• Ensuring timely and accurate submission of legal reports, audits and tax returns.
• Responding to internal and external inquiries in a professional and efficient manner.

The candidate should have a degree in accounting, finance, economics or a similar qualification and 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar field. International experience and knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
You also have:

• Solid experience in the field of accounting.
• Good technical accounting knowledge and understanding of the entire accounting cycle.
• Diligence and analytical thinking.
• Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken).

Salary: from 2700 to 3150 EUR gross, the specific salary depends on the candidate’s competence and work experience.

A fixed-term employment contract is concluded.
