Responsibilities

  • Lead the company’s technology strategy and architecture in preparation for launching a MiCA-regulated Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP)
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, resilient, and scalable technology infrastructure supporting the company’s operations
  • Oversee critical outsourced ICT service providers and maintain strong working relationships with technology vendors and partners
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and enhancement of crypto-asset and payment-related products and services
  • Ensure the security, reliability, and operational resilience of the company’s technology environment, including custody-related solutions and other critical systems.
  • Establish and maintain effective governance, cybersecurity, risk management, and incident management frameworks
  • Work closely with the second line of defence, including Compliance, AML, Risk Management, and other senior management functions
  • Ensure compliance with MiCA, DORA, and other applicable ICT security and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of senior technology leadership experience (e.g. CTO, Head of Technology, Senior Technology Officer, or a similar position)
  • Previous experience in crypto, fintech, payments, banking, or other regulated financial services sector
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of cloud hosting infrastructure management (preferably within AWS environments)
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, network architecture, and operational resilience
  • Good understanding of crypto-asset infrastructure, wallets, custody solutions, blockchain networks, and exchange platforms
  • Proven experience establishing technology governance, outsourcing oversight, and operational resilience frameworks
  • Professional working proficiency in English

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with MiCA, DORA, PSD2, Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs), Payment Institutions, or other regulated financial environments
  • Experience managing external technology providers and critical ICT outsourcing arrangements
  • Experience working in a growing fintech, crypto, or digital assets business environment
