Why this position is special:
We are currently inviting a responsible, meticulous and analytical Payroll Accountant to join the Lithuanian Red Cross Society team. He/She would be responsible for accurate payroll calculation and the implementation of payroll calculation in business management systems.
Main responsibilities:
- Calculation of standard and project wages, ensuring accurate allocation of expenses to employees implementing projects financed by EU structural funds, international programs or the state budget;
- Calculation, declaration and reporting of wages-related taxes to state institutions (Sodra, STI, VDI, State Data Agency);
- Accounting of executive orders, preparation of certificates for employees;
- Participation in initiatives to improve, automate and digitize payroll accounting processes;
- Consulting company employees on payroll, GPM and social insurance issues;
- Cooperation with personnel management and other departments, ensuring smooth payroll accounting;
- Participation in audits, efficiency improvement of internal payroll processes and systems.
What to expect:
- You have a university or higher education in the field of finance, accounting or economics.
- You have at least 2 years of successful work experience in calculating wages.
- You have excellent knowledge of the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania regulating accounting and payroll.
- You are good at MS Office, and you have excellent experience working with Excel (data analysis, formulas, summaries).
- You have experience working with at least one popular accounting or business management program, and practical work experience with the program "Rivile" is a great advantage.
- Good knowledge of Lithuanian, English - an advantage
- You are distinguished by diligence, responsibility, and the ability to work with confidential information.
