Occupational Health and Safety Manager for the Baltic States

The Venipak Lithuania team is looking for a Health and Safety Manager for the Baltic States, who will be responsible for coordinating health and safety, fire and civil protection processes in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate occupational health and safety, fire and civil protection processes in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, ensuring their compliance with the requirements of the legal acts in force in each country.
  • Develop, implement and improve common occupational health and safety standards and processes in the Baltic States.
  • Assess occupational risks, initiate preventive measures and control their implementation;
  • Analyze accidents, incidents and "near miss" cases, determine their causes and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare, update and administer occupational health and safety, fire and civil protection documentation.
  • Organize employee training and briefings and coordinate internal communication on safety issues.
  • Consult managers and employees on occupational health and safety, ergonomics, occupational risk, fire and civil protection issues.
  • Represent the company in communication with state institutions, auditors and other external organizations in my area of expertise.
  • Coordinate the need and procurement of employee safety, health and fire safety services and equipment.
  • Monitor key employee safety indicators, prepare reports, provide recommendations to management and initiate solutions that strengthen safety culture.

WE HOPE YOU:

  • Have a higher education.
  • Have at least 3 years of professional experience in the field of occupational safety and health; experience in management or coordination of regional processes would be considered an advantage.
  • You are well versed in the requirements of occupational safety and health, occupational risk assessment, ergonomics and fire safety.
  • Have the qualification of an occupational safety and health specialist and (or) other certificates required for the job.
  • Able to ensure compliance with legal requirements and develop practically functioning safety processes and standards.
  • Able to independently manage projects and coordinate processes in several countries.
  • You speak and write Lithuanian and English fluently.
  • You work well with MS Office programs, are able to analyze and systematize data.
  • Have a category B driver's license and are ready to go on business trips in the Baltic States as needed.
  • You are responsible, independent, proactive and able to collaborate effectively with teams from different functions and countries.
