Starling Logistics is looking for someone who would take on the creation and development of a dedicated transport department, be able to independently generate cargo flows in the Western European market and ensure the profitable operation of the department.
This is a position for someone who understands the laws of the transport market, has his own circle of contacts with carriers, knows how to work with transport exchanges and is able not only to achieve personal results, but also to coordinate the work of a team.

🎯 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and develop a dedicated transport department, form operating principles and ensure its growth.
- Organize cargo flows for own transport in Western Europe and actively develop forwarding activities.
- Independently search for cargo, ensure transport employment and identify profitable business opportunities.
- Actively work with transport exchanges, analyze cargo supply, prices and market trends.
- Develop cooperation with customers and carriers, negotiate terms and create long-term commercial relationships.
- Assess the seasonality of the Western European transport market, changes in cargo flows and the specifics of different directions.
- Manage two transport managers, coordinate their activities, set priorities and achieve common results.
- Monitor the department's performance indicators, control profitability and make decisions to improve results.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
✅Experience in international transport or expedition and good knowledge of the Western European market.
✅Understanding of the specifics of different Western European directions, seasonality, cargo flows and market price fluctuations.
✅Ability to attract new carriers, establish business relationships and develop long-term partnerships.
✅In-depth knowledge of working with transport exchanges and the ability to independently find cargo and negotiate transportation conditions.
✅Commercial thinking, orientation towards profitability and responsibility for the achieved results.
✅Knowledge of financial literacy and accounting basics, ability to assess cost and profitability.
✅Ability to organize teamwork, set priorities and make independent decisions.
✅Good knowledge of English - necessary for daily work with foreign clients and carriers.
✅ Knowledge of Russian would be an advantage.

💰 WHAT DO WE OFFER?
