DEVOPS ENGINEER

We are currently looking for a new team member in the Group's Client IT Systems Development Team. In this position, you will be responsible for developing UAB Ignitis strategic system applications that meet operational needs, such as the Electricity Exchange system. Your main tasks will be:

• Work in the UAB Ignitis development team, ensuring the reliability, availability and performance of the information systems being developed according to SRE principles;
• Development, implementation and support of monitoring, alerting and system observability solutions;
• Definition of service level indicators (SLI), goals (SLO) together with the team, their monitoring and continuous improvement;
• Incident management, organization of post-mortem analysis (root cause analysis) and implementation of preventive measures;
• Deployment and administration of containerized applications, development, migration and improvement of CI/CD processes;
• Responsibility for system and code repository migration projects (e.g. GitLab → GitHub), transfer and optimization of CI/CD pipelines;
• Automation of infrastructure, configuration and repetitive operational tasks;
• Formation of best SRE, DevOps and reliability practices and initiation of their implementation;
• Consulting and assistance to other development teams in applying reliability, monitoring and automation practices at the organization level.

• Higher university education (preferably in IT) or may be a final year student;
• Practical work experience in maintaining or developing information systems;
• Practical work experience with PostgreSQL and/or MS SQL, MariaDB;
• Practical work experience in working with WEB solutions;
• Practical experience in administering, configuring and maintaining a monitoring system (monitoring, creating triggers, integrations, incident analysis) (Zabbix, Grafana);
• Programming basics (preferably Python, Bash, PowerShell, C# or others);
• Strong customer orientation and achievement of set goals, analytical thinking;
• Ability to clearly convey thoughts;
• Good knowledge of Lithuanian and English.

An advantage would be:

• Practical experience in working with the OpenShift platform (installing containers, configuring, publishing applications, resource management, CI/CD integrations);
• Practical experience with Linux OS or solutions built on this OS;
• Ansible knowledge;
• Basic knowledge of CSS, HTML.

The fixed salary range for the position group is from EUR 2,630 to EUR 3,940 (excluding taxes). A specific salary is offered based on experience and competence. A variable remuneration component may be paid in addition to the salary.
