KD International School is an international school in Vilnius, where education is conducted in Lithuanian and English, combining the Lithuanian general education programs and the Cambridge program. Our community is united by respect, community, responsibility and openness.

We are looking for a Deputy Director for Education, who is able to mobilize a team, ensure the quality of education and turn ideas into daily, meaningful changes. This role requires both a strategic approach and active participation in school life - supporting teachers, collaborating with families and solving daily educational issues.

Your responsibilities

Organization and quality of education. Coordinate the implementation of the progymnasium educational programs, prepare educational plans and schedules, organize non-formal education and ensure a smooth daily educational process.

Harmony of Lithuanian and Cambridge programs. In cooperation with the Cambridge program manager and teachers, ensure the consistency of the programs and strengthen education in Lithuanian and English.

Professional growth of teachers. Observe and discuss lessons, provide specific, constructive feedback, plan professional development, coordinate mentoring and sharing good practices.

Team strengthening. Participate in teacher selection, help new colleagues integrate into the community, foster a culture of cooperation, responsibility and trust.

Student progress and well-being. Analyze student achievements and individual progress, and together with teachers and educational support specialists, provide the necessary support and additional educational challenges.

Partnership with families. To establish an open and professional dialogue with parents, clearly present educational decisions and constructively address emerging issues.

Process improvement. To prepare and update internal documents regulating education, to make data-based decisions and to evaluate the impact of implemented changes.

School collaboration. To work together with the principal, educational support specialists and the administrative team to plan educational resources and activities.

What do we expect from you?

Higher university education in the field of education.

Pedagogical experience and successful experience in leading a team of educators or coordinating education.

Knowledge of the Lithuanian general education programs, educational planning and assessment of student achievements.

Excellent oral and written skills in Lithuanian and English: the ability to conduct meetings in both languages, discuss educational issues and communicate professionally with teachers and parents.

The ability to assess the quality of education, analyze data and translate insights into clear actions.

Knowledge of the principles of inclusive education and differentiation and the ability to help teachers respond to different student abilities, linguistic experience and educational needs.

Leadership that combines clear expectations, respectful communication, assistance to colleagues and responsibility for agreed results.

The ability to mobilize a community of different cultures and experiences, listen, constructively resolve disagreements and maintain professionalism in difficult situations.

Independence, ability to plan priorities, initiate changes and complete tasks.

Good digital skills in working with educational planning, collaboration and data analysis tools.

Responsible attitude towards children's safety, emotional well-being, confidentiality and professional ethics.

We will consider it an advantage

Experience in an international or bilingual school.

Experience working with Cambridge or other international educational programs.

Experience implementing interdisciplinary, project-based or inquiry-based education.

Experience in teacher mentoring, educational quality assessment or school change management.
