We are currently strengthening data architecture competencies and are looking for a Data Engineering Architect who would shape the technological direction, architectural principles and standards of the organization's data platform and help ensure effective and scalable development of data solutions across the organization.

Main responsibilities:

• Form and maintain the architecture of the organization's data platform, ensuring standardization, scalability and compatibility of data solutions with the principles of the organization's IT architecture.
• Design and coordinate data platform architectural solutions covering data collection, integration, transformation, storage, analytics and data presentation.
• Identify data engineering standards, best practices and technology principles and ensure their application across the organization.
• Evaluate technology choices and architectural alternatives in the areas of data platform, data warehouses, integrations and cloud solutions.
• Shape the direction of data platform development, contributing to the strategic initiatives of the organization and long-term technology vision.
• Collaborate with application, integration, cloud, security and other architects, ensuring compatibility of technology solutions.
• Consult teams on architecture, data modeling, data quality, performance and data management.
• Ensure the integration of data governance, security, access control and quality principles into data solutions.
• Participate in architectural decision-making, provide expert recommendations and contribute to the development of the organization's technological standards.
• Contribute to data platform modernization and migration initiatives related to cloud technologies.
• Evaluate and implement modern data engineering practices: automation, CI/CD, observability, DataOps and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
• Educate data engineers and contribute to strengthening data engineering competencies in the organization.

What we expect from you:

• Higher education in IT, computer science, data engineering or a related field;
• at least 5 years of professional experience in the fields of data engineering, data platforms or data architecture;
• practical experience in designing and developing data platforms or analytics solutions used at the organization level;
• deep knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, data warehouses and lakehouse architecture principles;
• strong SQL knowledge and experience working with large amounts of data;
• practical experience working with data processing and orchestration technologies (e.g. dbt, Airflow or similar solutions);
• experience working with modern data platform technologies (e.g. S3, Iceberg, Trino/Starburst, Kafka, PostgreSQL or similar solutions);
• experience designing reliable, scalable and efficient data flows and transformations;
• understanding of data governance, data quality, security and access management principles;
• experience applying CI/CD, automation, monitoring and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles;
• experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and knowledge of cloud-native architecture principles;
• ability to evaluate technological alternatives and make architectural decisions at the organization level;
• ability to clearly communicate complex technical solutions to both technical and business teams;
• good technical English skills.
