Expedition Manager

In this position, you will be responsible for the entire expedition process – from finding a new client to successfully completing the transportation.
Customer search and business development

• Actively search for new clients in the Lithuanian and European markets.
• Make cold calls, introduce 4 RATAI Logistics® services and build long-term business relationships.
• Expand your client portfolio and develop long-term partnerships.
• Analyze the market, competitors and look for new business opportunities.

Carrier search and cooperation

• Actively search for new carriers in Lithuania and Europe.
• Create and expand a network of reliable carrier partners.
• Negotiate terms of cooperation and seek long-term partnerships.
• Evaluate the reliability, quality of services and competitiveness of carriers.

Organization of international transportation

• Search for cargo and the most suitable carriers for their transportation.
• Work with transport and freight exchanges.
• Organize and coordinate international shipments from order receipt to successful delivery.
• Monitor ongoing shipments and promptly resolve non-standard situations.
• Analyze margins, profitability, and make decisions that increase operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the growth of the forwarding department and the profitability of the company.

• Have at least 2 years of work experience in the field of international forwarding.
• Have a good understanding of the international freight transportation market.
• Are not afraid of active sales, negotiations and cold calls.
• Like to look for new customers and build long-term business relationships.
• Are able to find and attract reliable carriers.
• Understand that the best customers and partners do not come by themselves - they need to be found.
• Are able to negotiate prices and achieve a mutually beneficial result.
• Are focused on profitability, not just on completing tasks.
• Are able to make quick decisions and keep a cool head in a dynamic environment.
• Know how to independently plan your work and take responsibility for your results.
• You communicate well in Lithuanian and English. Knowledge of Russian is a big advantage.
• You are proactive, communicative and result-oriented.
