Energy Project Engineer

JOB CHARACTERISTICS

· Supervision of the completion, testing, adjustment and commissioning of the boiler house by contractors and equipment suppliers;

· Coordination of technical discrepancies, their elimination and technical solutions;

· Participation in functional, protective, automation, efficiency and other tests of the equipment and evaluation of their results;

· Coordination of technical documentation, operating procedures and preparation for the transfer of the boiler house;

· Organization of safe and uninterrupted operation of the 17.5 MW biofuel boiler house;

· Monitoring the technical condition, operating parameters, fuel consumption, efficiency and emissions of the equipment and initiating improvement actions;

· Planning of maintenance, inspections and repairs, coordination of spare parts needs and contractors' work;

· Organization of emergency response and analysis of the causes of failures, in cooperation with the Head of the Technical Department.

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL (-A)

· Higher university or college engineering education (priority – energy or mechanical engineering / thermal engineering; other engineering fields provided for in the VERT scheme are also suitable).

· Valid energy worker certificate, giving the right to manage and (or) perform boiler room heat equipment operation work.

· Steam and water heating boiler operation manager training program certificate; other certificates – according to the actual parameters of the boiler room equipment and the functions assigned to the employee.

· At least 3 years of experience in the operation, start-up or maintenance of industrial boiler rooms or heat production facilities; preferably working with higher-capacity biofuel facilities.

· Knowledge of the operation of boilers, fuel supply, ash removal, water preparation, pumps, heat exchangers, pipelines, pressure vessels, automation and protection.

· Ability to read and evaluate technological, hydraulic, P&ID and electrical diagrams, technical specifications, test reports and manufacturer documentation.

· Experience in planning maintenance and repairs, managing contractors, documenting non-conformities and performing root cause analysis.

· Good knowledge of Lithuanian and English for technical documentation and communication with foreign equipment suppliers; good working skills in MS Office.

· Category B driver's license.

· Experience in commissioning or operating a 10 MW or larger biofuel boiler house, knowledge of SCADA / CMMS systems and additional energy qualifications will be an advantage.

SALARY

2,800–3,800 €/month. in hand. The final salary offer will depend on the candidate's experience and competence.
