Experienced Product Engineer (React / Next.js)

Ideally - work in Kaunas, in the office :)

Tablein develops SaaS products for restaurants in more than 50 countries. We are expanding our product team and are looking for an experienced Product Engineer to help create new web experiences for consumers.

We are not looking for someone who just gets a Figma screen and writes components, but someone who can independently take a function from a product idea and prototype to a high-quality Production result.

What will you do

You will develop and maintain modern web applications with React / Next.js.
You will implement responsive and mobile-first UX.
You will work with REST API integrations.
You will take care of web performance, SEO and accessibility.
You will deal with real product states: loading, error, retry, pending, etc.
You will write automated tests.
You will work with GitHub, Preview and Production deployment processes.
You will actively use AI tools for implementation, debugging, testing and code review.
You will take responsibility for the entire result of the function, not just the code.

Strong TypeScript and React foundation.
Practical experience in Next.js.
Good understanding of HTML / CSS.
Responsive and mobile-first UX sense.
Experience working with APIs.
Understanding of web performance and SEO.
Experience in automated testing.
Independence and responsibility for the result.

The most important thing for us is a product engineering mindset.

We want someone who thinks not only "how to code", but also:

what will happen in case of slow internet or an error;
how the product will work on the phone;
whether the user can accidentally repeat a critical action;
whether the most important flows are tested by tests;
whether the result is really ready for Production.
AI-first development

We use AI tools every day and consider them a normal part of the development process.

We hope that you learned to use AI not only at the autocomplete level, but also for implementation, refactoring, debugging, testing and code review.

AI can write a large part of the code, but the engineer remains responsible for the result.

Advantage

Experience with:

e-commerce or ordering products;
checkout / payment UX;
i18n;
PWA;
public web products;
analytics or realtime UI.

Backend experience is a plus, but this is not a backend position.

Salary

3,500–5,500 € gross / month.

The final offer will depend on experience, independence and ability to take the product feature to Production.
