Director of the Financial Accounting and Reporting Department

Today, we are inviting the Director of the Financial Accounting and Reporting Department to join the Artea bank team – an experienced finance manager who would like to take responsibility for one of the key financial functions of the bank, lead a strong team and ensure high quality of financial, tax and regulatory reporting management.

This role includes managing the areas of bank and group financial reporting, bank accounting, tax and regulatory reporting to the ECB. The department employs about 40 people, and 5 managers would be directly subordinate to you.

You will be #closer every day and:

• You will lead the Financial Accounting and Reporting Department, form a clear direction and priorities for these areas;
• Ensure that the bank's and the group's financial reporting, accounting, tax and regulatory reporting processes are managed in a quality, timely and compliant manner;
• Ensure the timely and proper preparation of annual and interim financial statements and report quality assurance processes, ensuring the proper application of IFRS;
• Lead the tax area at a strategic and control level, ensuring that key VAT, corporate income tax and GST issues are properly managed;
• Ensure the proper management of the regulatory reporting function, understanding the key regulatory indicators and reporting requirements;
• Strengthen the quality of the department's activities, process efficiency, control environment and cooperation with other functions of the bank and the group;
• You will lead 5 area managers, help them grow, clearly delegate responsibilities and ensure the team's performance;
• You will cooperate with management, auditors, supervisory authorities and other stakeholders;
• You will initiate and implement process improvement, standardization and efficiency initiatives.

To be #closer, you will need:

• Higher university education in finance, accounting, economics or a similar field;
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and experience in managing financial reporting processes;
• At least 4-5 years of experience in preparing, coordinating or ensuring the quality of annual and interim financial statements;
• Understanding of key tax areas - VAT, corporate income tax and GPM;
• Understanding regulatory indicators and regulatory reports, allowing for proper management of this function and its manager;
• Experience in leading a team, developing managers and ensuring a clear culture of responsibilities;
• Ability to work with different stakeholders, see the big picture and make informed decisions;
• Ability to improve processes, strengthen the control environment and make activities more efficient;
• Strong communication, priority management and change implementation skills;
• Excellent knowledge of Lithuanian and English.

• Salary. The specific remuneration will depend on work experience and competencies, therefore we only indicate the possible range: from 5130.00 to 7700.00 EUR excluding taxes.
