The Military Academy of Lithuania is a unique Lithuanian university that harmoniously combines university studies and military training, qualitatively trains and develops fully educated and responsible officers and leaders, conducts scientific research and ensures the implementation of lifelong learning principles in accordance with the needs of the Military Academy.

The purpose of the position is to calculate and control personnel costs, ensure project accounting and financial reporting.

Specialist functions:

  • monitors the use of funds for MTD and SRT projects, prepares information on the use of funds, forecasts and controls the proper use of funds and carries out preliminary and ongoing financial control of projects;
  • determines the amount of the mark-up on the income contributions for meals according to free menus from the budget institution for the next financial year;
  • calculates the costs of training, professional training and professional development;
  • keeps records of all funds allocated to personnel expenses as needed and submits reports;
  • ensures financial control of funds allocated to personnel expenses, income contributions, participant fees, and support;
  • enters, manages and ensures the accuracy of financial data, performs constant and continuous control of them in VBAMS, the internal data management tool of the LKA;
  • uploads, registers or otherwise manages documents containing financial information in DokVIS as needed;
  • processes information related to monitoring and (or) analysis or, if necessary, coordinates the processing of related information.
  • The Finance Officer provides consultations to soldiers and employees within his/her competence.
  • The Finance Officer also performs other tasks assigned by his/her immediate or superior superior related to his/her functions or the activities of the Department.

  • must have a higher university education (bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education qualification) or higher college education (professional bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education qualification);
  • have at least 1 year of work experience in accounting, finance or another field;
  • have permission to work with or access classified information marked with the security mark "Restricted use".
  • a financier must be able to work with the Microsoft Office software package, use information search, data analytical or other accounting, finance, asset, budget, business management systems.
