We are currently seeking a talented: Group Finance Controller

The Group Finance Controller owns the integrity, timeliness and comparability of the Group’s financial information. The role leads the consolidation of group financial statements, drives the quality of accounting data across all entities, continuously improves the month-end close, and ensures that management reporting and statutory financial reporting tell one consistent story. The Controller works closely with the Group CFO, entity chief accountants, FP&A and external auditors, and supports reporting to the Board of Directors and lending banks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Group consolidation. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements for the Group (10 entities, 5 countries), including intercompany reconciliation and eliminations, foreign currency translation (EUR, PLN, KZT, CNY) and consolidation adjustments.
• Financial data quality. Own the quality of financial data in accounting across all group companies: a consistent chart of accounts, uniform accounting policies, correct cost-centre and client/vehicle coding, and regular review of entity submissions with corrective feedback to local accounting teams.
• Month-end close optimisation. Own the group close calendar; shorten and standardise the month-end closing process, remove bottlenecks, automate recurring entries and reconciliations, and set clear deadlines and quality gates for all entities.
• Financial and accounting reporting in Power BI. Lead the development of finance and accounting reports in Power BI: design and build group-level reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, close KPIs, data-quality dashboards), define the underlying data model together with accounting and IT, and roll the reports out as the standard reporting layer across group companies.
• Cash flow – actuals and plan. Produce the Group’s cash flow statements on both an actual and planned basis; reconcile the management accounting (MA) view with the financial accounting (FI) view, explain the MA/FI delta, and drive convergence so that financial accounting becomes the single reliable basis for cash flow reporting – and see that agreed changes are implemented in practice.
• MA vs FI differences. Identify, quantify and explain differences between management and financial accounting results; eliminate structural discrepancies at their root (mappings, cut-off, accrual logic) so that management and statutory figures reconcile as a matter of routine.
• Team leadership. Act as team lead for the local finance controllers across group companies: set priorities and deadlines, review their output, develop their competencies, and ensure a consistent controlling approach and quality standard in every entity.
• Audit and stakeholder support. Act as the key contact for external auditors; support the Group CFO with board reporting, bank covenant reporting and ad hoc group-level analysis.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in financial control, group accounting or audit, including hands-on consolidation of a multi-entity, multi-currency group.
• Higher education in accounting, finance or economics; ACCA/CPA (or in progress) is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Lithuanian accounting standards.
• Advanced Excel; experience with ERP/consolidation systems and large data sets.
• Proven track record of improving closing processes – standardisation, automation, deadline discipline.
• Precise, structured and hands-on personality: challenges numbers that do not reconcile, flags issues proactively, and follows changes through to implementation.
• Fluent Lithuanian and English; Russian language skills at B2 level or above.
• Power BI experience (data modelling, report building) is an advantage.
• Experience in corporate taxation (CIT) and transfer pricing is an advantage.
