Nature of work
- Estimating shipbuilding and repair works (calculating labor prices and material quantities/costs);
- Analysis of drawings/documentation;
- Preparation of the technological part of the ship project according to the project needs;
- Assistance to project managers/foremen, consultations on technological issues;
- Participation in project preparation (analysis of technical documentation, preparation of work rate estimates and bills of materials);
- Analysis of technical documentation (working with Excel, reading drawings);
- Communication with customers and resolution of emerging issues.
Employee requirements
- Higher/higher technical education (engineering would be an advantage);
- Experience in shipbuilding (an advantage);
- Experience as a cost estimater (ship repair and construction would be an advantage);
- Ability to read drawings (DWG), analyze technical documentation;
- Good working skills with AutoCAD and MS Office programs (especially MS Excel);
- Fluency in English (verbal and written);
- Ability to resolve emerging issues with project managers and customers in the executive project;
- Ability to work in a team and independently, analytical thinking, responsibility, diligence.
