- UAB „Optonas“
UAB Optonas - a manufacturer of optical components, working with partners in the high-tech and defense sectors. We are looking for an IT administrator to join our team and take care of the company's IT infrastructure.
What will your typical working day look like?
- Administer the company's IT farm: employee computers, peripherals, software and licenses
- Prepare new workstations, manage user accounts and access (Microsoft 365)
- Resolve daily IT disruptions and consult colleagues - be the first point of contact for IT issues
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of IT systems: maintain the network, servers, backups and monitoring
- Simplify and automate processes based on IT solutions - from routine tasks to ERP (Odoo) workflows - using AI tools and scripts
- Help maintain IT security practices important for a company operating in the defense sector
- Communicate with external IT service and equipment providers
What are our expectations for our candidate?
- At least minimal IT administration or technical support (helpdesk) experience
- Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
- Basic understanding of computer networks (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN)
- Real interest in AI tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot) and initiative to apply them at work
- Responsibility, independence and clear communication
- Good knowledge of Lithuanian and English.
- Work only from the office.
It would be an advantage to:
- Basics of Python, PowerShell or other scripting tools
- Experience with Odoo or other ERP system
- Experience with Active Directory / Entra ID administration
- Knowledge of NAS, backup or monitoring solutions
- Experience in a production environment
