Job description
Graphic designer - understanding people's needs and desires and their lifestyle at home, together with his team, creates and presents relevant, functional and inspiring solutions to store visitors, helping to create a more beautiful life at home.
What will you do at work:
- Help colleagues and independently develop graphic design solutions and implement them, learn from experienced colleagues, using graphic design knowledge and skills, the IKEA concept and the principles of IKEA visual and corporate identity;
- Ensure clear and understandable graphic communication inside the IKEA store;
- Apply existing knowledge, understand the principles of typography and follow them;
- Create print and digital projects in various formats from the idea to the final format presentation and its implementation (work in the Adobe package);
- Printing with a wide-format printer, plotting, laminating, cutting; gluing stickers on various surfaces;
- Installation of visual advertising (hanging and advertising lighting);
- Maintenance of all communications inside the store - so that the communication looks like new every day;
- Work with project management. Smooth communication with clients, colleagues, external partners;
- Quick reaction to changes and teamwork.
We expect from you:
- Want to learn and gain experience in the fields of graphics and communication;
- You could be a final year student of design studies;
- Curiosity and interest in interior design, desire to understand people's everyday life at home, their needs and hobbies when furnishing their homes;
- It would be an advantage if you have experience in the fields of graphic design, media or typography, advertising production;
- Basics of computer literacy and experience working with programs such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and advertising production tools and means;
- Knowledge of English (verbal and written);
- Fixed-term 1-year employment contract.
