SUMMARY
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring a smooth supply of materials required for production by collaborating with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Negotiating with existing and potential suppliers;
- Identifying new suppliers and alternative raw materials;
- Conducting price tenders and competitive bidding processes;
- Monitoring supplier performance (DIFOT), including analyzing delays and discrepancies;
- Analyzing material demand and planning and controlling optimal inventory levels;
- Contributing to process improvements and the implementation of new systems;
- Communicating and collaborating with internal departments;
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the Procurement Department by addressing urgent matters, participating in projects, and handling other assigned tasks;
- Providing cover for colleagues in invoice processing when needed, including invoice verification, resolving discrepancies, and administering credit notes.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills;
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher;
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset;
- Good time-management skills;
- Experience in procurement or supply chain within a manufacturing company would be an advantage;
- Experience in negotiations and supplier management would be an advantage.
