Job description
- Planning and performing organic synthesis experiments and other research tasks.
- Purifying organic compounds using various techniques including extraction, crystallization, distillation, chromatography, etc.
- Characterizing intermediates and final compounds using a range of analytical techniques, such as HPLC, NMR, GC-MS, etc.
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of relevant fields and techniques.
- Collaborating with team scientists to ensure the highest scientific standards within the team.
- Properly documenting experimental procedures and results.
- Supporting scale-up and technology transfer processes.
- Summarizing findings and presenting data to the research team as needed in both oral and written forms.
Requirements
- A university degree in chemistry or a related field, experience in synthetic organic chemistry would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated skills in relevant laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques (NMR, GC/MS, LCMS, IR) would be considered an advantage.
- A passion for solving chemical problems and discovering novel products or processes.
- Eager to try new things where limited prior information is available.
- Working proficiency in English.
- Motivation to work in a high pace environment, with a commitment to completing tasks on time.
- Adaptability and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to maintaining open and constructive communication with lab leadership and team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
