Maritime Transport Business Development Manager

Manpower client Asstra-Vilnius has been successfully operating in the Lithuanian logistics market for more than 26 years and provides international freight forwarding, forwarding and supply chain management solutions. The company organizes road, sea, air and rail transport, as well as provides customs formalities administration and cargo insurance services. It is a stable international group company that values close cooperation, clear processes and prompt decision-making. Currently, the company is actively developing the sea transport (FCL) direction and invites a Sea Transport Business Development Manager to join the team.

In this position, you will:

• You will grow and develop the sea transport (FCL) business;
• You will create new business relationships, conduct negotiations and help customers find the best logistics solutions;
• You will cooperate with shipping lines, manage commercial relations and negotiate the most competitive conditions;
• You will form pricing and make decisions that have a direct impact on business results;
• You will follow market changes and work closely with local and international teams.

We expect from you:

• You have accumulated B2B sales or business development experience in the logistics sector and are able to independently identify and develop new business opportunities;
• You have experience in the field of maritime transport logistics, you are well versed in the specifics of FCL container transportation, work with shipping lines;
• You are able to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and business partners, successfully negotiate and present commercial solutions;
• You know how to understand customers' logistical needs, offer the most suitable solutions and ensure their commercial attractiveness and profitability;
• You are characterized by independence, initiative, result orientation and strong communication skills;
• You have knowledge of English, which allows you to work confidently in an international business environment.

We will consider experience in developing FCL business in the Lithuanian market, an accumulated network of contacts with clients and shipping lines, knowledge of the port of Klaipėda and the Lithuanian import and export market as an advantage.
