Engineer Constructor

UAB "Armetlina" designs and manufactures medium and low voltage electrical equipment, electricity distribution and metering panels, switching and distribution points, modular transformers, modular frame transformers and metal structures.

We are inviting a design engineer to join the design team, strong in one of two areas: electrical engineering or building, steel or other load-bearing structures.

Knowledge of both areas is not required. This is a mechanical/structural design position. An electrical engineer will not need to design electrical diagrams - they will be used as technical information when designing the mechanical part of the product.

• you will help the sales department analyze sales inquiries, technical tasks;
• you will design assigned products from concept and 3D model to documentation transfer for production;
• you will prepare structural, manufacturing, assembly and adjustment drawings;
• you will prepare material lists, specifications and other data for procurement and production;
• you will select rational, reliable, economical and production technology-adapted structural solutions;
• you will coordinate solutions with project managers, electrical engineers, technologists, purchasing and production departments;
• you will accompany the solution to the manufactured product, evaluate production feedback, make corrections and contribute to product improvement.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING PROFILE • you will help the sales department analyze sales inquiries, technical tasks;

• you will design the equipment layout in the housings according to electrical diagrams, equipment dimensions and technical requirements;
• assess the necessary distances, cooling, installation, cable connection and operation requirements;
• apply the solutions prepared by electrical engineers to the product body and other mechanical structures.

PROFILE OF BUILDING STRUCTURES

• design solutions for modular transformers, modular frame buildings, metal frames, frames and load-bearing structures;
• determine the loads acting on the structures and perform the necessary calculations;
• optimize the structures according to production technology, transportation, installation, operation and cost-effectiveness.

It is enough to meet the requirements of one of the two professional profiles.

• higher or higher education in electrical engineering, construction, mechanics or a related field or significant practical design experience;
• ability to read and prepare technical drawings, work with 2D and 3D design tools;
• ability to analyze technical tasks and justify selected solutions in engineering terms;
• technical and analytical thinking, diligence, responsibility and independence;
• ability to cooperate with specialists from different fields and achieve a common result.

According to the chosen professional profile:
IF YOUR FIELD IS ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

• we expect electrical engineering knowledge and the ability to read electrical diagrams;
• ability to assess the requirements for electrical products and adapt them to a mechanical solution.

IF YOUR FIELD IS STRUCTURES

• we expect experience in designing building, steel or other load-bearing structures;
• ability to assess loads, perform calculations, apply relevant standards and justify calculation assumptions.

We use SOLIDWORKS for the design of sheet metal products and electrical enclosures, and we also work with AutoCAD LT and Odoo.
For a candidate in the building construction profile, a specific CAD or structural calculation program is not a selection criterion. The most important thing is the ability to choose the right method for the task, perform calculations and justify decisions.

Here, the designer's work does not end with the drawing. You will see how your solution turns into a real product, you will be able to evaluate it in production, improve and grow together with an experienced design and production team.
