Nature of work
The Head of the Culture Department of the Klaipėda City Municipality Administration (career civil servant) performs the following functions:
1. Represents the institution in relations with other institutions, organizations and individuals on behalf of the head of the institution.
2. Makes decisions related to the activities of the structural unit.
3. Prepares and submits proposals on issues related to the activities of the structural unit.
4. Manages the processing of information relevant to the implementation of the activities of the structural unit or, if necessary, processes information relevant to the implementation of the activities of the structural unit.
5. Manages the implementation of the activities of the structural unit or, if necessary, carries out the activities of the structural unit.
6. Manages the preparation and provision of information related to the activities of the structural unit or, if necessary, prepares and provides information related to the activities of the structural unit.
7. Manages the preparation of documents related to the activities of the structural unit or, if necessary, prepares documents related to the activities of the structural unit.
8. Manages the human resources of the structural unit in accordance with the procedure established by legal acts.
9. Performs other non-permanent assignments related to the activities of the institution.
10. Supervises the activities of municipal budgetary and/or public institutions, the founder or shareholder of which is the Klaipėda City Municipal Council.
11. Initiates and coordinates the implementation of international cultural cooperation projects, takes care of the dissemination of municipal culture in Lithuania and abroad, participates in the preparation and implementation of regional cultural development and maritime cultural traditions.
12. Cooperates with state and private cultural institutions, creative unions and non-governmental cultural organizations, aiming to implement the goals of the municipal cultural policy.
13. Deputizes for other employees of the department when they are temporarily unable to perform their duties, except during leave to care for a child.
Employee requirements
1.Education and work experience requirements:
1.1. education – higher university education (bachelor’s degree) or equivalent higher education qualification;
1.2. field of study – business (or);
1.3. field of study – management (or);
1.4. field of study – public administration (or);
or:
1.5. education – higher university education (bachelor’s degree) or equivalent higher education qualification;
1.6. field of work experience – project management experience;
1.7. work experience in the field – 3 years;
2. Foreign language(s) and their level of proficiency:
2.1. English (B1).
