Woodworking shop shift foreman

From €2,400/month excluding taxes + monthly bonuses for results

Work from Monday to Friday, in two shifts

We are looking for more than just a foreman. We are looking for someone who leads the team.

UAB “Mediresta” invites you to join a shift foreman of a woodworking shop.

In this position, your main responsibility will be to ensure a smooth production process in your shift. We will entrust you with a strong team of several dozen employees, clear production goals and the opportunity to really contribute to the organization of work and the improvement of processes.

You will not have to do everything alone here. You will work together with experienced colleagues, and your role will be to mobilize people, clearly distribute work and help the team achieve a common result.

What will you do?
You will plan and organize shift work;
you will distribute tasks to employees and set clear priorities;
you will ensure a smooth production process, quality of work and achievement of set goals;
you will monitor the production process and promptly respond to emerging problems;
you will cooperate with other production departments and shift managers;
you will pass on the most important information to the foreman of the next shift;
you will develop employees, provide feedback and help them improve;
you will motivate the team and set a standard of responsible, safe and high-quality work by your own example;
you will contribute to the improvement of production processes by applying KPI, LEAN and 5S principles.
This position will suit you if:
You are able to organize people's work and maintain a clear direction;
you are not afraid to take responsibility and make decisions;
you know how to communicate clearly, calmly and respectfully with different people;
you notice problems and look for solutions, not blame;
you are able to react quickly to a changed situation;
you care not only about the individual result, but also about the result of the whole team;
you have good planning and organizational skills;
is analytical and able to set priorities.

Experience in a manufacturing company or in managing employees would be an advantage.

Knowledge of woodworking processes would also be an advantage, but your leadership skills, responsibility and willingness to learn are no less important to us.

Work schedule

Work is organized in two shifts:

I shift – 6:00–15:00
II shift – 15:00–23:00

Shifts change according to a pre-arranged schedule. During the shift handover, the most important information about the production process, work performed and current problems is transmitted.
