Mobile 360° Cinematographer–Educator

Sferinis Kinas® is looking for a mobile planetarium operator/educator in the Vilnius region!

Do you like communicating with children, driving and working in different places? Join our team and help children learn about the world through engaging 360° educational films.

What is the job like?

You will go to schools and kindergartens with mobile planetarium equipment, set up an inflatable dome, prepare projection equipment, show films and conduct a short discussion or quiz after each session.

This is an independent, mobile job that involves driving, preparing equipment and communicating with children and educators. We will provide and train you with the necessary knowledge for the job.

Your main tasks:

• Plan your departure time according to the pre-set schedule and arrive at educational institutions on time.
• Transport the company's equipment, unload it, set up the dome and prepare the equipment for the sessions.
• Receive groups of children, present the session progress and show 360° educational films.
• After each session, conduct a short film discussion or quiz based on the provided material.
• Communicate pleasantly with children of all ages and educators, ensure the smooth running of the event.
• After the event, dismantle the dome, pack up and go home.

About the equipment

All equipment is compact and fits in a passenger car. Its heaviest element weighs 17 kg.

Where will you work?

In Vilnius and the Vilnius region. If necessary, you will travel to educational institutions up to approximately 150 km from Vilnius. Usually, you will visit a different institution every working day.

What does a typical working day look like?

1. Review your weekly schedule in advance and plan your trip.
2. You often have to get up early on a workday – around 5-7 am, depending on the distance and the time of the first session.
3. Arrive at the educational institution early so that you have time to set up the dome and get ready by the agreed start time of the sessions.
4. You show films to groups of children and lead a discussion or quiz after each session.
5. After the last session, you pack up the equipment and go home.

The length of the workday varies depending on the distance of the trip and the number of sessions: one day you can return home around 11 am, the next day around 3 pm.

What are we looking for?

A responsible, punctual and positive person who enjoys communicating with children, feels confident in front of a group and is able to independently organize their work.

Requirements:

• impeccable reputation, no criminal record;
• punctuality;
• correct and clear Lithuanian language;
• cultured communication, politeness, responsibility and honesty;
• ability to communicate with children;
• category B driver's license;
• own car.

Advantages:

• public speaking skills;
• experience working with children;
• knowledge of Russian.
