Nature of work

What will you do after joining Hotrema?

  • You will ensure compliance with Lithuanian and international tax legislation and advise the organization on tax issues;
  • You will assess the tax consequences of business decisions, projects, transactions and expansion into new markets and provide recommendations on the most effective solutions;
  • I will identify tax risks, prepare their management plans and coordinate their implementation;
  • I will cooperate with external tax consultants in Lithuania and abroad, coordinating international tax issues;
  • You will ensure timely and accurate calculation and declaration of VAT, corporate income tax, GPM, real estate tax and other applicable taxes;
  • I will analyze international taxation issues, including aspects of permanent establishments (Permanent Establishment), double taxation and cross-border VAT;
  • Participate in the development of tax solutions for new markets, assess tax costs and collaborate with local consultants;
  • Coordinate tax processes during audits, tax inspections and cooperation with tax administrators;
  • Consult business and finance teams on tax issues and ensure timely information on changes in legislation;
  • Initiate and implement solutions to streamline, standardize and automate tax processes.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the activities of an international organization, shape tax practices in different markets and be a strategic partner in making business decisions.

What do we expect from you?

  • Higher university education in finance, economics, accounting, taxes, law or another related field;
  • At least 2 years of work experience in the field of taxes, finance or accounting;
  • Experience working in the construction, project activities or international services sectors (would be an advantage);
  • Practical experience in planning, calculating and coordinating taxes in an international environment, including jurisdictions of the EU, Switzerland, the United Kingdom or other countries;
  • Good knowledge and work experience in resolving issues of international VAT, permanent establishments (Permanent Establishment), posting of employees, payroll taxation and cross-border transactions;
  • Experience in cooperating with external tax consultants, auditors, tax administrators and other institutions;
  • Ability to independently analyze tax issues, assess risks and provide practical solutions to business;
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, necessary for working with international partners and consultants.
