About the position:
LTVK aims to make science and applied research an even more important part of the college's activities - to strengthen the quality of studies, lecturers' competences, relations with business and society and create practical value. Your main mission is to strengthen the potential of LTVK's science and applied research, increase project activities, researcher involvement and the visibility of scientific results on a national and international scale.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and develop LTVK's science, experimental development and applied research activities.
- Prepare and implement science and applied research activity plans, taking into account LTVK's strategic goals.
- Monitor calls from Lithuanian and international institutions, funds and programs and identify relevant funding opportunities for LTVK.
- Initiate, coordinate and contribute to the preparation of national and international science and R&D projects.
- Consult lecturers and researchers on project preparation, funding opportunities, partner search and project implementation.
- To mobilize LTVK researchers for joint scientific research and projects.
- To promote interdisciplinary cooperation between LTVK study fields and departments.
- To initiate cooperation with business enterprises, public sector institutions, research and study institutions in Lithuania and abroad.
- To coordinate the dissemination and publication of scientific research and applied research results.
- To coordinate the scientific journal Vadyba/Journal of Management
- To contribute to the development of scientific publications, conferences, research and other scientific activities.
- To organize and coordinate scientific events, conferences, seminars and scientific discussions.
- To prepare scientific activity reports, analyze the achieved results and provide proposals for their improvement.
- To monitor the main indicators of scientific and R&D activity and initiate actions to achieve them.
- To represent LTVK on scientific and applied research issues in cooperation with external partners.
Employee requirements
- 3+ years of successful work experience in higher education.
- Higher university degree or equivalent.
- Ability to effectively plan the activities of a small internal team and external partners and meet deadlines
- Experience in the field of science, research, project management, R&D or academic activities.
- Good understanding of Lithuanian and international research project funding opportunities.
- Ability to prepare and administer projects and work with project documentation.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to see not only the problem, but also the possibilities for its solution.
- Very good knowledge of Lithuanian and good knowledge of English.
We will consider the following as an advantage:
- Doctoral degree.
- Experience in preparing projects of the Research Council of Lithuania, Horizon Europe, or other national and international programs.
- Experience in implementing R&D or applied research projects.
- Experience in preparing and publishing scientific publications.
- Experience in international cooperation.
