Main responsibilities:
- perform non-destructive testing of aircraft wheels, brakes and their components in accordance with CMM, NDT manuals, approved procedures and work instructions;
- apply NDT methods assigned to the qualification: penetrant dye / fluorescent penetrant (PT / FPI), magnetic particle (MT / MPI) and / or vortex
- prepare components for inspection, determine and evaluate indications and make decisions on their compliance with the established criteria;
- prepare inspection reports and ensure proper traceability of the work performed in the technical documentation;
- check the condition of NDT equipment, tools and materials used and control their suitability for work;
- contribute to the development of NDT work instructions, processes and workshop capabilities;
- cooperate with wheel and brake workshop, quality and engineering teams;
- ensure that all work is performed in accordance with EASA Part-145, company quality and work safety requirements.
What do we expect from you:
- current or previous NDT Level 2 qualification according to EN 4179 / NAS 410;
- PT/FPI Level 2 qualification would be a major advantage, and additional MT/MPI or ET qualifications would be a great advantage;
- experience in performing non-destructive testing and evaluating results;
- experience working with aircraft components, wheels, brakes or other precision repair parts would be an advantage;
- ability to read and understand CMM, NDT procedures and other technical documentation in English;
- ability to accurately complete inspection and maintenance documents;
- responsibility, diligence, independence and ability to make technical decisions;
- readiness to meet the vision and qualification maintenance requirements for NDT personnel.
